NovemBEAR is Here!

NovemBear is on! This past Tuesday, we launched our fall fundraising campaign, NovemBear, and as of Friday, October 19, our website, www.Novembear.org is live!

You know the plight of families who must bear the reality of lovingly caring for their child with a shortened life-expectancy. You know how their hopes change. You know how their lives change. They can go from planning play dates to hospital stays, and their lives can change virtually overnight.

We hope you'll show your support for these families by carrying a bear this November. Take your bear to work, shopping, church, or even the gym. Spread the message of the realities families must bear and help Children's Lighthouse of Minnesota build a hospice and respite care home for families and children.

Here's how Novembear.org can help:
  • Email us (your address and number of day's you'll participate) and we will mail you message cards and ribbons for your bear
  • Submit photos of where your bear travels to Facebook or Flickr
  • Dedicate your bear to a loved one by emailing us at NovemBear@ChildrensLighthouseMn.org
  • Easily access our social media channels, including FacebookTwitter and Pinterest and see what others are saying
  • Sharing/posting your photos and tagging us enters you into contests for prizes, including our "life-size" bear!

  • Get tips on what to say to the "bearly curious"

"It really does work. I carried my bear on my bike, and six complete strangers asked me about my bear. It's a great ice-breaker to talk about children and a hospice home."
-Rick Fuentes, supporter

Participating in NovemBear is easy. Carry a bear for a day. Carry a bear for 30 days. It's up to you, but, the more people see your bear, the wider the message spreads.www.Novembear.org can help. You can also send pictures, stories, dedications, or questions to NovemBear@ChildrensLighthouseMn.org.
